We work in the center of SW development. The place were it all comes together the complete integration and release.
We are now looking for you who can guide our organization on how we can truly create the ultimate/best test value coverage in order to succeed in our mission. To secure a stable and robust electrical system for all electrical platforms.

The work
You guide the organization in how to grow the functionality in steps and reach new capabilities in the SW baseline more continuously than in “bigger chunks” focusing on end goal. You do this by close collaboration with all developing areas in Engineering (R&D). Together we create the integration plan, a transparent way to follow the functional growth in the electrical system and SW baseline. We also handle test analysis that focus on critical dependencies to secure we are all targeting the same capability growth throughout the organization. We make technical evaluations on how the plan impact the complete and drive the integration planning towards project needs.
We drive the integration driven development strategy.

Who are you and what do you do?
You have a strategic mindset and like setting a roadmap for all developing areas. You believe that technical leadership is the way to go to align people and organization towards a common goal. Have experience working with both complex product as well as organization. You have ideas on what a good complete SW baseline in a complex embedded system looks like.
Working with integration plan and functional growth, you have knowledge in how to grow functionality and maybe you have knowledge in automotive technology both in functions and/or concepts.
We believe that collaboration and networking come natural to you as well as the goal that our software- and electronics- architecture and processes should enable our business. At Core System Components (ARTCSC), within Software & Electronics Platform, we develop and maintain body controllers, I/O controllers, electrical power distribution units and electrical power supply – hardware as well as software – for both current and future vehicle platforms. What you'll do

As part of an ARTCSC empowered team, you will ensure the delivery and quality software solutions for our future controllers. This unit is a central part of our new software & electronic platform, realizing important software functionality - both on system service and customer function level. Our team is responsible for integrating supplier-developed hardware and basic software with in-house developed application software. As an instrumental part of this puzzle, you will use your Autosar Basic SW expertise to develop a correct Software solution /configuration and make sure it is well integrated with the other parts of the ECU. You will also contribute to building an automated workflow with continuous integration and testing of new software.

Volvo Cars have an ambition to expand its in-house software development. At the department of Core System Software, we are part of this ambition. Our teams are building the next generation high-performance in-vehicle compute cluster, designed to host different vehicle applications, stretching from basic vehicle state machines to advance active safety and unsupervised autonomous drive functionalities. This compute cluster will be launched in our coming generation of pure electric and self-driving Volvo models. Our task is to create a safe, reliable, and secure software that serve as a platform for our stakeholders and partners to deploy and innovate their applications on. 

Our multi-core architecture includes high-performance (HP) systems on a chip (SoC), providing a framework for current and future services. We are now looking for experienced software development engineers with a genuine problem-solving attitude to strengthen our software development organization. 

What you'll do

In our part of the R&D, we develop the base software for the Core Computer. We do that to provide computational power and to enable successful integration between applications. Our teams work in an agile manner to be able to quickly adjust to changing requirements.?We work with a-state-of-the-art embedded multiprocessor environment from Nvidia including hypervisors, Linux, QNX, Rust and other modern technologies. 

In this team we develop the Diagnostic communication stack for our Core Platform. It includes DoIP gateway, CAN gateway, ODB/UDS services, diagnostic firewall, interfaces to customer application diagnostics and diagnostic monitors. A typical workday can consist of any combination of feature and platform development including tests, system test development, requirement management, system design and more.

What you'll bring

We think you are a software engineer with experience in C++/14. We want to work with you who have a keen interest in programming and in modern programming languages. * Both review and approve supplier performed and reported test and verification as well as se too that we have internal (VCC) testcases and methods to verify our design area. Using rigs , boxcars simulation or test cars.
* You will be part of collection, break down and validate the implementation of component requirements and technical documentation in cooperation with selected suppliers, as well as ensure that Analysis and Verification requirements are created, monitored and implemented together with your team. 
* This will also need good collaboration with the software development area to optimize the solutions and analyses.
* Functional Safety as well as Cyber Security will always be a part of the job.

In Connected Experience (ConX) at Volvo Cars, our purpose is to develop and deliver a world-class digital user experience based on our Infotainment, Connectivity and Cloud Platforms.

At Outbound Logistics Engineering EMEA & Intercontinental, we are part of a global supply chain team that makes sure that the cars we build are delivered to our customers at the right place and in the right time. Our mission is to drive the design and implementation of the most optimized vehicle distribution network for the Volvo Car Group and strategic affiliates.
What you will do

As Senior Specialist - Logistics Engineering within Outbound Logistics, you will be responsible to drive network optimization initiatives from idea generation to implementation to achieve the most optimized distribution from a cost, service, and sustainability perspective. Including:

• Create and evaluate the technical specification as prerequisite for sourcing of finished vehicle distribution
• Conduct analysis of sales demographics, cost, lead time and CO2 and propose recommendation forward connected to sourcing.
• Analyze and improve processes and way of working within the engineering teams, regionally as well as globally
• Calculate OBL cost input estimates into future car programs in early phase and implement new car models in the industrialization phase
• Automate and standardize analysis and data management within engineering by utilizing for example Power Bi

You and your skills
• Good knowledge and experience from finished vehicle distribution
• High business acumen
• Experience in Logistics Engineering and Network Design
• Project management skills
• Experience in Data Analytics and creating clear, concise and meaningful data visualisation.
• Experience from Power BI or Tableau, Network Design Tools (such as FICO), Transport Management Systems is seen as an advantage.
• Experience of negotiations
• Experience of preparing sourcing material and closely collaborate with procurement.
• Fluent in English (written/spoken)
• University degree within Engineering or Business, with in major in Supply Chain Management

• Comfortable to present to senior management.
